BATIMAT is the world's most famous exhibition for building materials and equipment. It was founded in 1959. It is held every two years in November at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center in Paris.

The 27th BATIMAT was held at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre in Paris from November 7th to 12th, 2011. The exhibition has a net area of ​​110,000 square meters. As the world's leading large-scale building materials exhibition, BATIMAT 2011 attracted 2,382 exhibitors from 55 countries and regions, 44% of which were international exhibitors. The audience from 171 countries reached 380,168, of which foreign exhibitors accounted for 16 %, 60% of the audience from the French provinces, 80% of the audience have the right to purchase.

In 2011, the number of visitors was 351,748, and 19% of the audience came from 177 countries outside France. 96% of the audience expressed satisfaction, and 80% of the audience came to the exhibition with the purpose of purchasing. For 99% of the audience, this is the most important purpose of the exhibition, 211 entries participated in the competition, the catalog of new products introduced nearly 900 products. Through on-site statistics, 44% of the audience reached the site, 27% were project managers or business owners; 13% were retailers and distributors, and 6% were manufacturers. Among them, 31% of the audience visited the exhibition for the first time.
